ACCREDITED AND LICENSED MINDFULNESS NOW TEACHER
Zed Mountford-Hill is a trained Mindfulness Now Practitioner who trained under the tutelage of Aston Colley at the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. Zed first discovered mindfulness meditation a number of years ago having suffered personal difficulties himself.
“I often found my present mood dominated by negative thoughts about past events or imagined concerns about the future. In essence I was never truly living in the present moment. This led to periods of unhappiness, stress, anxiety, and eventually depression.”
After unsuccessful attempts to improve these conditions with more conventional treatment methods Zed first discovered mindfulness meditation.
“Through mindfulness I slowly began to understand how my unhelpful thought patterns were having such a negative impact on my life. The practice of regular mindfulness meditation gave me the insight to establish the connection between my thoughts and emotions and my reaction to them. Mindfulness isn’t about trying to get rid of these thoughts. Quite the opposite, in mindfulness we’re almost welcoming these thoughts and acknowledging them with loving kindness and non-judgement towards ourselves.
"Mindfulness can help you place a little distance between these often complex emotional reactions and give you the insight to respond in ways that are more helpful and kind towards ourselves. Through the regular practice of mindfulness I started to become more accepting or myself and who I am. This led to a profound sense of inner joy and peace and enabled me to live life as it should be lived. In the present moment.”

Zed’s own personal journey inspired him to train to become a Mindfulness Practitioner in the hope he could share these experiences and help others find their true selves. He has since founded Mind Wide Open MK which offer a range of bespoke mindfulness meditation services including 1 to 1 sessions, group workshops and more.
